BU gives one time permission to failed students to appear for exams

It's good news to the students of Bangalore University affiliated colleges.

Bangalore University, grants one time permission to the failed students to appear for UG / PG examinations.

In a meeting with university officials, it was decided to give one time permission to the candidates who had failed in subjects to re-appear for the examinations.

Candidates who failed to complete their degree within the stipulated period of time, as per the University regulations, can also attend the examination for one time.

BU grants permission to failed students for exams

The University has received representations from several students, who have completed their degree course requesting to permit to re-appear for their semester / annual scheme examinations, so as to improve their performance in terms of marks card.

Following candidates can only re-appear for examinations:

  • Candidates who have completed their degree within a stipulated period of 6 years for UG and PG courses.
  • These students should not have obtained their degree certificates either in the annual or Mini convocation.
  • If candidates have received the degree certificates, they would not be eligible to appear for examinations.

Following candidates can only appear for exam for one time:

  • Candidates who have registered for admission during 2000 and onwards are only eligible. Such candidates shall be permitted to appear for failed subjects only.
  • These candidates have to study and pass the examinations / subjects as per the existing syllabus only.
  • The candidates who have passed at least 50% of subjects, are eligible to appear for exams.
  • The Annual scheme examination will be conducted along with examinations of correspondence courses and distance education of the University.
  • Candidates should have fulfilled 75% attendance as per the university rules.
  • Candidates shall pay the examinations fee whenever the fee notification is issued by the university.
  • This permission is one time measure and should be quoted as a precedent and no further requests will be entertained for extension.
