UoH students set protest on City Hospital, blaming medical negligence

The students of University of Hyderabad, held a protest accusing a city hospital of medical negligence due to which T.Narasimhulu, who used to run a telephone booth on the university campus was objected death on November 9.

Relatives of Narasimhulu had said that medical help was delayed even after he said doctors that his thighs and knees had severe pain. They ruled that his condition was terrible due to the delay.

He had already undergone a heart valve replacement surgery at Medwin hospital in September.

G. Prabhakar, a student leader of UoH said, "We have already filed a criminal case against the hospital. We will take up this issue with the human rights commission and the medical authorities of India."

Moreover, the students of Osmania University Telangana Action Committee had also staged a protest over the death of Narasimulu.

University of Hyderabad students on protest

After a lot of protest on Monday, 11th November, 2013, Durgam Bhaskar, Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) said, "We are forming a Joint Action Committee (JAC) consisting of all the student organisations from all universities in and around Hyderabad to fight against such cases of medical negligence and brazen corporate medical business."

The students seem to be very strong in this issue. They are demanding justice for late Narasimulu. It is yet to see if there is any result on this medical case or the students might come up with the protest again.
