The aspirants seeking admission for a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) / Integrated Ph,D programmes or theoretical Computer Science in one of the participating institutions, may appear for the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST 2014).
JEST 2014 is the qualifying test for admissions to Ph.D programmes in the central government funded institutions across India.
Qualifying in JEST does not entitle an applicant to get a Research Fellowship. Using the JEST results, each institute will call a limited number of candidates for further selection depending on their requirtements.
All the selected candidates will receive Research Fellowship form the respective institutes.
Eligibility:
Physics:
Candidates should have M.Sc. in Physics or M.Sc. / M.E. / M.Tech. in related disciplines.
Theoretical Computer Science:
Candidates should have M.Sc./ M.E. / M.Tech. / M.C.A. in Computer Science and related disciplines, and should be interested in the mathematical aspects of computer science.
Integrated M.Sc / M.Tech - Ph.D programme:
Candidates must have passed B.Sc / B.E / B.Tech degree in relevant discipline form any recognised university.

Rs 300/- for General Candidates.
Rs 150/- for SC/ST candidates.
