AIPGMEE for Admission to Kerala State Quota MD/MS/Post Diploma Seats

The admission to Under Graduate and Post Graduate Medical / Dental Courses in the State during the academic year 2013-14 was done on the basis of the National Eligibility-cum- Entrance Test (NEET).

As per the order, the hon'ble Supreme Court of India has held that the Medical Council of India is not empowered to conduct National Eligibility- cum- Entrance Test (NEET).

AIPGMEE for Admission to Kerala State Quota

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and the Director of Medical Education have requested Government to issue orders specifying the mode of admission for Under Graduate and Post Graduate Medical/Dental courses in the State for the academic year 2014-15.

Government have examined the matter in detail and are pleased to issue the following orders:

The admission to Post Graduate Medical and Dental courses in the Medical / Dental Colleges / Institutions in the State for the academic year 2014-15 will be on the basis of the All India PG Medical Entrance Examination 2014 (AIPGMEE-2014) conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). The PG Medical / Dental aspirant candidates from the State shall participate in AIPGMEE-2014 and obtain minimum eligibility marks as prescribed, for getting admission to Post Graduate Medical / Dental Courses.

The Prospectus for admission to Post Graduate Medical / Dental courses will be issued by the Director of Medical Education with the approval of the Government. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will be the authority for conducting the admission and allotment in the State Quota seats in P.G. Degree / Diploma courses for the year 2014 and the Director of Medical Education will conduct admission and allotment to MDS course., observing the prevailing reservation principles for admissions.

The admission to Under Graduate Medical courses (MBBS and BDS) in the Medical / Dental Colleges / Institutions in the State for the academic year 2014-15 will be on the basis of the Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance Examination 2014 (KEAM 2014) conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The students who wish to get admission for MBBS / BDS courses in Kerala shall have to participate in KEAM 2014 and obtain minimum eligibility marks as prescribed, for getting admission to MBBS / BDS Courses.

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will be the authority for conducting the admission and allotment in the State Quota seats in MBBS / BDS courses, observing the prevailing reservation principles for admissions. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will issue prospectus for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in consultation with the Director of Medical Education and with the approval of Government.
