Two well renowned universities of the world Pune University and Gottingen University, joined hands to improve quality of teaching under the education faculty at the university.

"German educators have completely different approach from us to teaching subjects under the education. "An expert team from Gottingen Uiniversity will visit Pune University in December to work on this plan. We have also proposed joint research scheme in education under our tie-up with the German varsity," Gade added.

He further stated "Gottingen University has proposed that its students who come to UoP under academic exchange programmes be allowed to study for two of the total four semesters of their studies, instead of one semester, in Pune. The 50:50 pattern for studies will be implemented soon so the Gottingen students can study here for two semesters and complete the remaining two semesters in Germany."

Meanwhile, Gade said that the university has forwarded at least 10 to 12 proposals to the chancellor and state governor. The proposals are related to changes in ordinances on issues like setting of exam timetables and re-evaluation of marks.
