IIT, Kharagpur offers Ph.D programme admission 2013

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, invites applications for admission to Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme commencing in 2013-14.

Applications are invited for admission to the Ph.D. Programme[Regular, Sponsored and Individual Fellowship (i.e. CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/INSPIRE categories)] of the Institute in all disciplines of Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture & Regional Planning, Humanities & Social Sciences and Law. Admission to reserved-category candidates will be done as per Government of India notification.

Eligibility:

• Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / M.Sc with 60% (55% for SC/ST) of marks from a recognised university.

Selection procedure:
The candidates will be selected based on written test score and personal interview conducted by the institute.

How to apply:

• The Application form and Prospectus can be downloaded from official website of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
• The filled application form along with demand draft of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST) drawn in in favor of IIT Kharagpur, should be payable at Kharagpur, West Bengal.
• Candidates have to take the print out of the filled online application form, and send to the below address.

Women candidates are exempted from the payment of application fees.

Important Dates:
Last date for submission of application form is 1st Nov 2013.
Date of test and interview will be held on 27-29 Nov 2013.
