IIT-KGP qualifies for Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz grand finale

A 3-member team from IIT-KGP has emerged as the winner of the Kolkata round of the Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2013. They have qualified for the grand finale scheduled in New Delhi on November 16.

The Kolkata qualifying round was held at Indian Statistical Institute on September 28th.

The quiz competition saw participation from undergraduate and postgraduate students representing reputed colleges and institutions across the zone.

It is a part of the Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Week 2013, organised by the Embassy of Sweden and Swedish businesses in India.

This year, the Nobel Memorial Week celebrates first Indian and non-European Nobel Laureate in literature, Rabindranath Tagore.

Qualifying rounds are scheduled in Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and New Delhi while the rounds are already over in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.

National winners will get an all-expense paid trip to Sweden, where they will get to visit headquarters of partner companies, universities and the Nobel Museum.
