Bundelkhand region has 41 blocks listed as educationally backward blocks (EBBs)and remaining seven blocks are non-EBBs.

The HRD Minister was on an one-day visit to this region where he was told that only four of the seven Kendriya Vidyalayas are functional. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said 50 crore youth will be provided training through polytechnics by 2020.
