The Department of Pre University Education- Karnataka, has hereby changed the examination pattern with practical marks for PCB combination has been increased to 30. The changes will be in effect from the upcoming Board Examinations i.e. from March 2014 onwards.
According to the changes, PCB students will be allotted with 70 % for theory and 30% for the practical examination.
The KEA Website has the detailed question paper pattern for new curriculum of Science Subjects. It says that the weightage given to objectives in the three papers are as following:
- 40% for Knowledge,
- 30% for Understanding,
- 15% for Application and
- 15% for Skills.
According to the Blueprint, the difficulty level will have 40% with easy questions, 40% questions with average difficulty and the remaining 20% with difficult questions.
For practicals, 20 marks for conducting the experiment, 4 marks for viva-voce and remaining 66 marks for the practical records.
