Only GATE exam score for M.E / M.Tech courses admission in Maharashtra

Only GATE score for ME/M.Tech admissions
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra has issued a notification on M.E / M.Tech courses admissions in colleges across the state.

Notification says, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) entrance exam score is compulsory for admissions to M.E / M.Tech courses in Maharashtra, from the academic year 2014-15.

No specialisation wise entrance examination for M.E / M.Tech admission for academic year 2014-15 will be conducted by DTE. All the aspirants should take the note on this notification.

GATE is an all India entrance examination conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur for the year 2014.

IIT, Kharagpur has already issued the dates for the GATE exam for the year 2014.

GATE 2014 application are available from 2nd September 2013.

GATE 2014 scores will be primarily used for admissions to post-graduate engineering programmes (eg. M.E/ M.Tech/ direct Ph.D), though increasingly they are also being used by Public sector units for their recruitment process.

GATE is administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
