Around 83,662 students had registered for CMAT September 2013 exam. 54,882 applicants are male candidates and 28,780 are female candidates.
AICTE Chairman, S S Mantha said, "This is good number and has been improved compared to the last CMAT exam, which was held in May".
Compared to the last CMAT held in May 2013, the number of registration has increased by over 18, 000.
"We received around 65, 000 registrations for the CMAT May 2013 exam," mentioned Prof. Mantha. AICTE had extended the number of registration by 5 days for the CMAT September 2013 registration.
Earlier, the last date of CMAT September 2013 registration was Wednesday, August 21, 2013 which was later extended till Monday, August 26, 2013 in order to give a better opportunity to the candidates for registering themselves.
AICTE conducts CMAT Sept 2013 first test for admission to Management programmes in affiliated colleges across the country.
ICTE has now decided to conduct CMAT in Foreign Countries for facilitating eligible NRIs/PIOs and foreign nationals to appear in CMAT for seeking admission in institutions in India.
CMAT Sept 2013 exam will be held in a window of 5 days in 2 slots from Thursday, 26 Sept 2013 to Monday, 30 Sept 2013 across 67 cities.
