In a welcome ceremony for over hundred such students, Vice-Chancellor B C Tripathy said a separate hostel for them would come up inside the campus soon.
"We'll equip the University Library with all computer-based equipments necessary for vision deficiency students," he said.
"All these students have been provided rooms in the ground floor with special toilet facilities," Registrar P K Jena said.
Coordinator of the physically challenged students of the University Priyabrat Majhi said as per government norms, no tuition fee or hostel fee was collected from these students and necessary incentives as per the rules were provided to them.
"We are also planning to have separate co-curricular activities for these students from this year to hone their talents," Majhi said.
