Haryana government will take over the newly constructed Rs 700 crore ESI Medical College set up in NIT, Faridabad and would start providing better medical facilities to ESI insured persons and their dependents.
Haryana Labour and Employment minister Shiv Charan Lal Sharma said this while presiding over the 59th meeting of Regional Council Haryana at Faridabad.
The taking-over process is in its final stage and will be over in the next few days, he said.
Appealing to officials and members of the Council, the minister said efforts should be made to provide benefit to ESI insured persons and there should be no delay in referring emergency cases to empanelled hospitals.
