Investiture Ceremony at Billabong High International School- Bhopal

Mumbai, July 2013: The Investiture Ceremony of Billabong High International School (BHIS)-Bhopal for the academic session 2013-14 was held in a special ceremony at the school premises on 27th July, 2013. It was conducted with a high degree of sincerity and enthusiasm.

The momentous ceremony commenced with the school choir's rendition of the song "We shall overcome".

The ceremony had esteemed Chief Guest Colonel V.K.Lalwani, a Defence Mechanical and Electronic Engineer. He has rich experience in Human Resources Development, Personnel Management, Public Relations and Government Liaison. He has till now completed 30years of distinguished service in the Indian army.

The Principal and chief guest Colonel V.K Lalwani conferred the badges and sash to the elected students. With pride and a sense of achievement surging in their hearts, the Head Boy - Arbaaz Ali Khan and Head Girl- Kashish Batool Zaidi delivered a motivational speech, urging the new Council to have a clear conscience while delineating their duties. It was followed by the oath taking ceremony conducted by the chief guest.

Col. V.K Lalwani in his address emphasised and stressed on the importance of honesty, integrity and hard work as vital qualities for positions of dignity.

Sujata Lakhani, Principal, Billabong High International School, said, "I hereby congratulate every post holder and advise them to be able leaders by developing leadership qualities. And the ability to overcome challenges, a resilient attitude and dedication are the true qualities of a successful leader."

With these responsibilities placed on their firm shoulders, the newly appointed office-bearers silently vowed to act as role models for the rest of the school to emulate.

Smiling and jubilant, the Student Council marched ahead immediately to take on their new office.
