New Delhi: Adding another feather of prestige to its hat, Sharda University's School of Law, Greater Noida received the award for "Emerging Law College of the year" in Education Confluence Excellence Award organized by Study World. Dr. Sashi Tharoor delivered the prestigious award to Mr. P.Rathnaswamy (Dean- School of Law, Sharda University, Greater Noida)

Aimed to recognize and felicitate the emerging law education institutes, that have made significant contributions in the field of higher education in Delhi NCR region, the Education Conclave 2013 disseminated the award. The survey was conducted by a market research agency which considered "Sharda Law School" to be the Best Emerging Law College 2013 on the basis of student feedback and jury recommendation.

Privileged by the award, Mr. P Rathnaswamy of Sharda University commented: "Sharda University's School of Law is dedicated to legal education and research and provides students with a strong foundation which builds upon the diversity and depth of the subject. We aim to equip law students for various avenues by providing experience based legal education, that promotes intellectual breadth, analytical skills and an ethical sense of the role and purpose of lawyers in society. Such awards and accolades add to our motivation and zeal to continue follow our vision and deliver the best."

Sharda University offers a three year course in Law and Legal practices. The School of Law offers to bridge law courses, to achieve right training for its students. It also offers Legal Clinics and Legal Aid programs which help students be job-ready.

The Confluence was a series of events including Education Excellence Awards - 2013, a book launch by Study World "Educating India' and a Panel discussion on "Should India change its education model" moderated by Mr. Karan Thapar.
