Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has issued a notice on surrender of seats, post the cancellation of second round of counselling.

COMEDK believes that those who have taken alternate seat elsewhere like KEA, IIT, NIT, JEE, Deemed Universities and other State Counseling etc. have already surrendered COMEDK seat on or before 17th July 2013.

It has been made very clear that there is no surrender either during or after the second round of counselling, and only change of course or / and college is permissible in the second round of counselling. However, the candidate may hold on to the seat selected during the first round of counselling.

The above policy which is already notified in the counselling Process Document, which also applies to Medical, Dental and Architecture seats.

Second / Final round of counselling:
COMEDK commences second / final round of Engineering courses counselling from July 19 to 24, 2013.

For Medical / Dental courses, second / final round of counselling begins from July 26 to 27, 2013.

Category conversion TULU, CHRISTIAN, TELUGU etc:
There are a few minority professional institutions for which COMEDK has conducted entrance test and has taken up counselling process.

During the Second Round of Counselling whether Tulu / Christian / Telugu minority, there will be a separate session exclusively for these minority candidates as defined in the Process Document.

For the candidates to claim the benefit of Minority status, they should have produced required certificates as per the UGET 2013 brochure.

However, COMEDK has learnt that a few candidates are yet to furnish the required certificates for the purpose of following the process.

In order to provide one more opportunity, such of those candidates who are yet to furnish valid minority certificates may now do so on or before 22nd July 2013 to the COMEDK office at Malleswaram, Bangalore.
