Around 21,159 students attended the DCET 2013 exam on June 30 at 56 centres across Karnataka. Around 16,000 seats are available for Engineering courses admissions.
Earlier, KEA had conducted DCET on June 16, 2013, students have demanded KEA board to hold DCET exam for one more time.
DCET students said that, around 60-70% of the questions asked in the entrance exam was last year's questions.
KEA decided to conduct the DCET on June 30.

DCET exam conducted for the candidates who have passed Diploma Examination conducted by the Board of Technical Examinations in Karnataka or an equivalent Examination in Karnataka.
KEA provides admission to the Second year/ Third semester of the day and evening Engineering Degree courses for the academic year 2013-14.
DCET scores is applicable for admissions in Government Engg colleges, University, Private Aided and Private Unaided Engineering Colleges in Karnataka.
