Government of Karnataka have requested ComedK to postpone the Medical courses counselling and provide more space for candidates to make up their mind for seat selection in second round of counselling.
For the first time, ComedK is conducting the counselling ahead of KCET. Students and parents from all over the country arrived in Bangalore for medical courses counselling.
Whereas, the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India have issued directions to extend the last date of admission to 31 July 2013 and further stressed that "such extension of time is applicable to MBBS and DMS (BDS) and their post - graduate courses (respectively) for the academic year 2013-14 only".
Now, therefore, the revised dates for surrender of seats or conversion into confirmed Allotment with respect to Medical/ Engineering / Architecture courses and the session wise second and final round of counselling for Medical / Engineering / Architecture are as per brochure.
As there is seat sharing arrangement for Karnataka students and in the light of the request made by the Government of Karnataka, COMEDK is pleased to announce the refund of entire tuition fee deposited by the candidates who have taken seat through Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) in the year 2013 and who chose to surrender their COMEDK seat before the last date for doing so.
However, candidates from Karnataka or otherwise, who hold provisional allotment of MBBS/BDS seats, but fail to convert it into confirmed allotment, would continue to pay a penalty of Rs 50,000/-. The available seats would be added to sear matrix for second round of counselling.
