AIIMS Bhubaneswar Celebrates Its 1st Foundation Day on 15th July

Odisha: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar is overjoyed to invite all for its First Foundation Day celebrated on 15th July, 2013.

The Director, Faculty and Staff members of the AIIMS would be very glad to have your presence at the inaugural function of the 1st Foundation Day of the institute scheduled on 15th at 9:30 am at the academic block of AIIMS Campus at Sijua, Bhubaneswar.

Hon'ble Governor of Odisha Shri Senayangba Chubatoshi Jamir is the Chief Guest and Shri. S.K.Srivastava, IAS AS and FA, MoH & FW, Govt. of India shall be the Guest of Honour for the occasion.

The visitors are hereby requested to take seats by 9 am. The program shall start of around 9:30 am with the arrival of Chief Guest, followed by National Anthem, lighting of lamps, welcome speech by Director of AIIMS, addressing the Guest of Honour, release of Souvenir by Chief Guest, release of Newsletter by Guest of Honour, address by Chief Guest, Vote of Thanks by Chairman Foundation Committee, AIIMS, Inauguration of the Blood Donation Camp by the Chief Guest, Tree plantation.

Tea break at the venue is at 10:45 am and continues with the session from 11am to 1:30 pm. Lunch starts from 1:30 pm onwards.

The institutions are being established by an Act of Parliament on the lines of the original All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi which imparts both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches and related fields, along with nursing and paramedical training. to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all branches of health care activity.

  • To develop a pattern of teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches so as to demonstrate high standard of medical education to all medical colleges and other allied institutions in India.
  • To bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of the personnel in all important branches of the health activity.
  • To attain self sufficiency in postgraduate in medical education.
