AP: AICTE approves New Integrated Engineering, Management Courses

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi has recently approved few integrated management and engineering courses in Andhra Pradesh.

AICTE has approved five year dual degree course in management, five and half year integrated management course in engineering and pharmacy, six and half years management (architecture) course, two years MCA course and five year integrated course (degree and MCA).

Other courses that were approved by AICTE are the lateral entry course that allows BSC, BCA graduates to join MCA second year and three year engineering course for which BSC and diploma students are eligible.

Admissions into these courses for the academic year will be based on EAMCET 2013 ranks. Government issued guidelines and eligibility details for various courses approved by AICTE.

Eligibility for joining integrated management courses is same as other courses of engineering, pharmacy and architecture.

Students who completed first year in related branch courses can join the integrated management course in second year.

For five year management dual degree course, candidates who studies science, arts and commerce stream are eligible.

To join the new courses approved by AICTE, candidates must have 45% marks in Intermediate.

For five year MCA dual degree course that is approved by AICTE, students who studied mathematics and science in intermediate are eligible.

BCA degree will be given to those who complete three year course and those who complete five year course will be given MCA degree.

For lateral entry MCA course, admissions will be for second year. Candidates who studied BCA and BSC (CS) are eligible for this course. Admission will be based on the marks secured in degree courses.

AICTE also approved a three year engineering course. Candidates who completed BSc or diploma courses and who studied Mathematics in Intermediate are eligible to take admission in to regular BTech second year course directly.
