Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test (OTET) 2013 results announced

Odisha TET 2013 results declared
Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has announced Odisha Teachers' Eligibility Test (OTET) results on Wednesday. The result showing a success rate of 18.55% in Paper-I and 22.56 per cent in Paper-II. While 59,010 had applied for the exam in Paper-I, a total of 56,282 took the test and 10,427 got through the exam.

Nearly 5 lakh candidates had appeared for the examinations on June 9. The state government has made OTET mandatory for appointment of teachers in primary and upper primary schools.

 

Every year Odisha Government will conduct the Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test (OTET) for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary from Class 1st to 5th and upper primary 6th & 8th schools in the state of odisha.

OTET is a compulsory examination for all the B.Ed qualified candidates to be considered for teacher jobs in schools run by the government and private managements.

Results of 72 examinees were withheld whereas two were booked for malpractice. Similarly, out of 29,029 applied for the exam in Paper II, 27,831 appeared for it and 6,266 passed the test. Results of 61 candidates were withheld, BSE sources said. Notably, BSE conducted the exam June 10 in 218 centres across the State in which 88,084 candidates appeared.

Candidates can now obtain their results by logging on to the Board's website and can see their evaluated answer papers on the website from July 15, said BSE President Dakshya Prasad Nanda. Certificates and marksheets of the successful candidates will be dispatched by post from August 1 onwards.
