AISFM Students enthralls Actor Nagarjuna with their live Performance

Hyderabad, India, July 2013: Having completed six months of intensive training, the Annapurna International School for Film + Media (AISFM) (www.aisfm.edu.in) acting students faced their toughest challenge to give two theatrical performances to a live audience that included superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna.

The super star was very impressed with the live performance by 9 passing out students who not only delivered powerful dialogues but also captivated him with their acting skills and dialogue delivery. The students presented Waiting for Godot, considered to be one of the most significant English language plays of the 20th century and Gardhabhandam, a Telugu play by ThanikellaBharani.

After the performance, AISFM president Akkineni Nagarjuna spent time to interact with the students and gave insights and tips on how to bolster their acting performances on stage and in reel.

"We designed the acting course to be a tough experience so that students would be ready for the rigors of the industry. I am very impressed with our students acting skills. Their creative, technical and professional skills will surely captivate the audience when they step on stage." Actor and President of AISFM, Akkineni Nagarjuna said.

Chris Higgins, Vice President of AISFM, added, "The students ready to step out into the industry. One student has already been selected for a feature film and several of the students are being auditioned by Annapurna Studios for an upcoming film with Nagarjuna, Dr ANR and Nagachaitanya."

One student has already been selected for a feature film and several of the students are being auditioned by Annapurna Studios for an upcoming film with Nagarjuna, Dr ANR and Nagachaitanya.

Acting student Kaushal Sharma stated, "The course really helped to develop me as an actor, both mentally and physically. The faculty is very experienced and supportive and AISFM has been sending us for auditions. I have already been shortlisted for a film and the course is not even over!"

This batch of Acting Course students completed an intensive acting course starting from January 2013 and June 2013, at AISFM which covered acting for stage and screen, both Indian and western dance, stunt and fight skills and professional career skills for the Indian film and TV industry.

About the Acting Course
Admissions are currently open for the next intake of the six-month acting course, with classes commencing in July. The course trains aspiring actors for the Indian film and TV industry.
