40,000 Students take up Pre Medical Test
Madhya Pradesh: With just a few days left for the NEET verdict, about 40,000 students have turned towards Pre-Medical Test conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board on 7th July, 2013.

The board has received 40,154 applications by June 21, which was the last date for submitting online forms. According to the sources last year, around 36,000 students had applied for PMT.

The results of PMT will be announced on 13th July. In the mean time of 1 week students can register against any problems. The answer keys shall be displayed in the evening of same day of the examination.

The NEET verdict's final decision is expected in the early week of July. As per the interim order, states can now start declaring the exam results and admitting students.

In order to check any manipulation the board has taken up security alerts with the help of biometrics thumb impression, digital photographs and meal detectors at the exam centres.

Please Note:
The candidates are advised to bring the same colour photograph at the place of scrutiny and allotted institution at the time of test which, he or she has attached in online application form sent to the board. The photograph should not be older than three months from the date of entrance examination.

The board has reserved 20% seats for candidates belonging to Schedule Tribes, 16% to schedule Caste and 14% to Other Backward Classes.

The Entrance Examination shall be conducted in ENGLISH AND HINDI medium. Only one examination will
be conducted for Govt. Autonomous & Private Colleges. The Candidates can give is option as under
(a) Govt. Autonomous Medical/Dental College
(b) Private Medical & Dental Colleges
(c) Both

The Board shall conduct the examination and evaluate the answer sheets. Thereafter, the result will be declared along with the publication of the merit list. The allotment of course/Institution will be made by online counselling to the eligible candidate on the basis of merit cum option.

The detail information regarding online counselling will be issued soon. The allotment of a seat to an eligible candidate in the course and college shall be done by Counselling on merit-cum-option basis.
