The Bangalore University has designed Integrated courses, in each faculty and one such course is M.B.S (viz.,Master of Business Studies).
It is the course by integration of not only Bachelor and Master degrees into one but also integration of knowledge core and managerial.
It is a combination of different disciplines viz, Commerce, Management, I.T, Economics, Law, Mathematics, statistics, Communication etc. Which starts form fundamentals, moves on to advanced levels and further ends up with specializations in Banking and Insurance, Accounting and Taxation, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, International Management, Marketing Management etc., the knowledge which the present regional and global business entities are looking for? It is a holistic approach in preparing the students to face the challenging and complex tasks of the present day business and non business organizations.
One of the salient features of the course is to blend the theoretical knowledge with development of skills. Skills are being tough to the students in the Business lab and Computer Lab exclusively. Managerial skills are also developed in the students by following modern pedagogy viz, seminars, group discussion, assignments, role play, organizing brainstorming sessions, Industrial visits and other managerial techniques.
The school of Business studies in Bangalore University has started offering the above course (M.B.S) from the academic year 2007-08 and its fourth batch of admission will be starting from June 2010.It is a five year integrated course with ten semesters.
The applications are invited from the prospective candidates, for the integrated course Master of Business Studies.
Eligibility: P.U pass in any discipline with 50% of marks.
