About 1,200 students joined various B.Tech programmes in the three campuses of the varsity at Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bangalore. All the arrangements were in place for the convenience of the students.
B.Tech seats in ECE, Mechanical, EEE, CSE, Civil, and in dual degree programmes (B.Tech and M.Tech) have been filled completely in Visakhapatnam campus on Sunday.
Toppers preferred mechanical stream follwed by ECE, CSE, Civil and EEE programmes. The university denied admission to 500 students who secured less than 60% in Intermediate. Admissions into the five-year BArch were also conducted during the counselling based on the rank in National Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by Architecture Council, New Delhi.
GITAM University had conducted GITAM Admission Test (GAT 2013), a computer based online test commence from April 17 to May 08, 2013 at 31 centres across the country for admissions to B.Tech programmes offered by the University.
GAT 2013 conducted for admission to UG & PG Technology & Pharmacy Programs in GITAM University at its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru Campuses commencing in the session 2013-14.
Around 65,000 aspirants registered for GAT 2013 entrance test. The varsity made all arrangements for the smooth conduct of the exam. The test centres include Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, Khammam, Warnagal, Kadapa, Chittoor, Guntur, Kurnool, Anantapur, Nellore and Nizamabad.
University commences M.Tech and M.Pharm courses counseling from June 19 to 20, 2013 for the GAT (PGP) 2013 rank holders.
