JIPMER MBBS entrance results announced
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) Puducherry has announced the results of MBBS Entrance exam 2013.

The Merit list of candidates who qualified in the entrance examination held on June 2, 2013 for admission to MBBS course at JIPMER declared.

 

Kunal Ramesh Chandekar from Andhra Pradesh has topped the entrance examination for MBBS course in the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research here.

Institute's Dean K S Reddy said Chandekar, who hails from Secunderabad, scored highest marks among the 52,298 candidates by getting 174 out of 200.

He is followed by Hemnath Amardeep Santhoor of Bangalore and T N C Pranav of Hyderabad, with both scoring 172 marks.

A total of 69,391 (70%) candidates appeared MBBS entrance examination on June 02, 2013, Sunday conducted by the Centrally sponsored JIPMER across the country for admission to MBBS course.

JIPMER has a total of 141 seats in the first year MBBS course including 40 seats reserved for the students of the Union Territory.

Numbers of seats available against each category for this academic year are UR-51, OBC-27, SC-15, ST-8, P-UR-23, P-OBC-11 & P-Sc-6.

For OCI/NRI combined candidates who had taken up this entrance examination, 5 seats are available under self finance scheme. 4 seats for OPH candidates.
