IMI Held Its 29th Convocation in Delhi
New Delhi: The International Management Institute, New Delhi today held its 29th Annual Convocation at the Chinmaya Mission Auditorium, New Delhi. The convocation address on the occasion was delivered by Shri R K Dubey, Chairman and Managing Director, Canara Bank. Shri Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman, IMI, Board of Governors, presided over the function.

210 students across the regular PGDM ( Post Graduate Diploma in Management-119); PGDHRM ( post Graduate in Human Resources Management-56); WE ( Working Executive-14) and the Executive PGDM(21) programmes obtained their diplomas in management sciences amidst an impressive and august gathering of distinguished academicians, researchers, senior executives and students from the alumni fraternity and graduating groups of the institute. Himanshi Tandon, a student of PGDM regular course was awarded the all rounder medal.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Dubey remarked, "It is noteworthy that IMI has established a consistent and impressive track record of producing a team of well rounded professionals suitable to take up challenging roles across diverse sectors in the industry, services and consulting spheres within and outside the country". Wishing the graduating students the best of success, Shri Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of the IMI Board in his presidential address said, "I am confident that the acquired specialized skills in different management disciplines will complement very well with the all round personality development capabilities learnt at IMI to reinforce the innate competencies of all the students, making them a valuable asset to their employers".

Dr. Pritam Singh, Director General, IMI, in his address thanked the guests of honour for their presence and encouraging words. Complimenting the faculty team for their contribution and the students for their committed performance, he said, "IMI today is at a transformational and growth stage having already gone up in its overall standing as a leading management school in terms of its intellectual talent pool, academic, research skills and learning contribution both to the students and to the corporate sector." He added,

"IMI's management development programmes within and outside the country for senior and board level professionals in the industry are a one of its kind and sought after for their relevance and value adding capabilities."

The event also saw meritorious students and those exhibiting all round competencies across all programmes being awarded with medals and recognitions.
