Executive Edu'n Program @Mumbai in June
Mumbai: Harvard Business School (HBS) will host an executive education program, Aligning Strategy and Execution-India, from June 11 to 14, 2013 at the HBS classroom, Taj Lands End, Mumbai.

This leadership training program is designed for senior executives and general managers, including presidents and chief executive officers, who are responsible for developing and implementing sustainable strategies for doing business in India and around the globe. It is well suited for executives at large established Indian companies focused on international expansion and for those at multinational firms seeking to enhance their strategy for the global economy.

"The recovering global economy presents unprecedented opportunities to companies that can implement sustainable strategies for building market share, expanding operations internationally, and gaining competitive advantage in India. This intensive program will provide the participants with the frameworks for aligning their organization to design and execute winning competitive strategies in the global marketplace," said Stephen P. Bradley, William Ziegler Professor of Business Administration, Emeritus and faculty chair of Aligning Strategy and Execution-India. "As companies in India look to grow and are increasingly competing with established global players, this HBS Executive Education program helps them develop their competitive advantage, and find ways to sustain this advantage as they expand into new markets and business lines."

The program explores effective ways to align strategy and execution in order to achieve sustainable competitive advantage in the global economy. The participants learn why some strategies succeed while others fail-and why a strong strategic foundation can help companies expand.

"Aligning Strategy and Execution-India presents an opportunity for organizations to maintain a strategic advantage in this highly competitive region. Participants will gain knowledge to distinguish sustainable strategies from unsustainable approaches to secure long-term corporate advantage. It will also facilitate them to adapt their leadership and management approach as they shift from leading a local or regional company in a single business to directing a multinational or multibusiness firm," said J. Bruce Harreld, Senior Lecturer of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School and faculty member of the Aligning Strategy and Execution-India program.

As with all HBS Executive Education programs, the India portfolio will be taught by members of the School's own full-time faculty using the HBS case method. Senior executives from various industries and countries will enjoy an interactive experience that extends the learning process through personal and professional networks long after the conclusion of the program.
