10% Engg Seats Reserved for JEE Students
The Higher education council president professor Jaya Prakash Rao informed that the schedule for management seats filing will be announced based on the counselling dates of convener quota seats.

Higher education council decided to fill the management quota seats in private engineering colleges through online method. In Which, 10% of Engineering Management Seats are reserved for JEE Main rank holders.

EAMCET 2013 results will ab announced on June 02. After the EAMCET results, higher education council will conduct the counselling for filling the engineering seats across the State.

It is already announced that the first phase of engineering council will be conducted from 17th to 30th June, and the final phase of counselling will be held from 8th to 11th June.

Based on these dates the management quota seats will also be announced by the higher education council. As per the orders of the supreme court, engineering classes in all the colleges will commence from 1st August, 2013.

JEE Main holders will be given 70% in convener quota and 30% seats in management quota in engineering admission. There are limited numbers of colleges which have the permission of AICTE to fill NRI quota seats.

Last year, government issued orders to fill the management quota seats in online method. Various college managements approached the high court and as per the court orders online filling of management quota seats was not taken up in 2012.

The government then ordered the higher education council to take necessary steps to fill the management quota seats in online method through a special portal for the year 2013-14.

Thus in most of the colleges 30% seats will be filled under management quota. Experts are analyzing that most of the management quota seats will be filled by the students of Andhra Pradesh.

Around 3.83 lakh aspirants appeared for EAMCET 2013 entrance exam for admissions to first year professional courses in colleges in the Andhra Pradesh.
