Gujarat: 92.53% pass in Science HSC Exam
We all are aware that Results of GSHSEB (Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board) declared its Class 12/ HSC Science results on 13th May, 2013 @ 10 AM.

The sources have revealed that around 92.53% of students have passed the examination. This has been a celebrating time for the state because there is a steep hike in pass percentage this year. Last year (2012) about 67.70% students had passed their board examination.

Though, the number of students passing the examination increased unfortunately there was a decrease in number of meritorious. While in 2012, 302 students had scored A1 grade- scoring over 90% of marks but this year only 162 students had scored A1 grade.

Education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama attributed the jackpot result to the semester system which was introduced for the first time in 2011 from class XI (science). The final HSC (science) result declared is the aggregate of the marks scored by the students in four semesters, two of which were subjective and two were objective in nature.
