Christ School gets 100% in SSLC results
In the recently concluded Karnataka SSLC examinations results, students from Christ School Bangalore turned in an exemplary performance registering 100% in results.

School principal Fr. Shaju Varghese congratulated all the students and wished them a very bright future. Father Varghese has served the Church and society in various capacities like Parish Priest, Superior and Principal across India.

Total 229 students appeared SSLC exam in March 2013. 78 students passed in Distinction,135 in First class, 16 in Second class. Highest marks secured by Tobin Varkey Simson 612/625, Suhas K.C. 609/625, Shirisha B. Reddy 606/625, Apoorva V. Patil and Pavithra D. 601/625.

Before taking charge as the principal of Christ School, he had served at Chennai for a few years. Father Varghese is a MA (Christian Studies), MA (English) M.Ed; NET; PGDCA and served as Vice Principal and Administrator, for 4 Years at Chavara Vidya Bhavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Christ School, Bangalore, is run by the Catholic minority community, with all the rights and privileges granted by the Constitution of India and recognized but unaided by the department of education of Karnataka state. It is run by the fathers of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (C.M.I) through a registered body, "Christ Educational Society, Bangalore", whose president is the Rector of Dharmaram College, Bangalore.

Christ School is primarily meant to provide Catholic children with sound education based on religious and moral values, but is open to all, irrespective of religion, caste or community, paying respect to their religious feelings and freedom of conscience.

The school aims not merely at preparing its pupils to qualify for the board examinations but also at achieving excellence in every aspect of educational activity - spiritual, academic, cultural, social and physical - by developing their character and personality through graded responsibility, personal guidance and social awareness, thus enabling them to become leaders in the intellectual and civic life of the country.
