Around 3,000 students appearing the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET 2013) begins from today.

Directorate of Technical Education, Goa conducts GCET 2013 for admissions to first Year of Professional Degree courses in the State foe academic year 2013-14.

For the first time GCET 2013 test is conducting only for three subjects, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

The NEET UG 2013 Entrance exam was conducted in Panaji on May 05.

Four sets of questions for each subject are prepared for the GCET and no two students sitting side-by-side get the same question paper, to avoid copying of answers.

Each GCET paper consists of 75 objective questions of one mark each with four options. The students have to fill the bubble next to the correct option and the answer sheets are evaluated electronically.

The impression of the bubble marked appears on another answer sheet attached to the original copy. Students take this carbon copy home and can tell where they stand within minutes.

Admissions to MBBS/BDS/BHMS Courses shall be based on NEET(National Entrance cum Eligibility Test) to be conducted by CBSE and eligibility criteria prescribed by MCI. Syllabus for the same is published on MCI website.

Admissions to B.E. and B.Pharm courses shall be on the basis of GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test), which shall be conducted in 10 Centres, across Goa State.

Admissions to B.Arch. course shall be on the basis of scores obtained at NATA(National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by Council of Architecture, and qualifying exam (Std. XIIth /HSSC.).
