Madhya Pradesh DTE To Start Counselling For Admissions 2013

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is all set to start counselling round for admission in engineering colleges of the state.

The body claims to have completed the necessary preparations for the counselling round as the PET result was announced on Friday.

"From our side, the preparation is almost through, and I think it would not take a long time to start the counselling," said deputy director DTE, adding, "However the consolidated list of engineering colleges of the state will decide the final dates". The online counselling round for admission in BE and B Arch is conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB). This year, 16,000 students from Indore appeared in the PET examination.

Over one lakh students from across the state appeared in the entrance test which was held on April 21. The engineering admission in the state will continue to remain similar as previous years, despite the changes made by the ministry of human resource and development.

The ministry, from this year onwards has decided to conduct a single entrance examination for admissions to undergraduate programmes in central government's engineering institutes. Officials said that just about six states of the country have accepted the change this year.fhgh

About Exam: The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), Bhopal is responsible for conducting Pre-Polytechnic Test (PPT-2013) for providing admission in diploma colleges across the state commencing from the session 2013-14.
