The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2013 offline exam was held in 81 cities across the country on April 07, 2013. Around 14 lakh aspirants had registered for JEE Main 2013 for both Online and Offline examination.

All the candidates appeared in pen and paper based examination of JEE Main 2013 Paper 1 on 7th April are informed that the scanned images of OMR answer sheets and recorded responses are uploaded in the websites of CBSE and JEE Main, which will be available from 30 April to 02 May 2013.

The candidates who appeared for this examination are allowed to challenge the recorded responses if these differ from the one they had marked on the OMR sheet. Such challenges may be submitted online only latest by 12.00 Midnight on May 02, 2013.

The challenges submitted by post or in person will not be accepted.

The prescribed fee of Rs. 500/- per recorded response challenged may be submitted through bank draft in favour of Secretary CBSE payable at Delhi, in person at any of the CBSE Regional Office or may be submitted at JEE (Main) Unit, Plot No. 482, F.I.E., Patparganj Industrial Area, Delhi 92 either in person or by Speed Post only on or before 4th May 2013 up to 5 PM.

If the challenge is accepted by the Board i.e. if the recorded response is not the same As marked by the candidate on OMR sheet, the correction will be done, and the fee will be refunded.

In case, any registered candidate does not submit the challenge by the prescribed date and time. It will be assumed that his/her recorded response is the same as marked on OMR sheet.

The record of responses marked and the question paper of the candidates who appeared in the computer based (online) examination of JEE Main 2013 has also being sent by E-mail on the mail-ids furnished by the candidates in their JEE Main 2013 online application form.

Such candidates can also view their question paper along with responses marked on the websites from April 30 to May 02, 2013.

Since the recorded responses in a computer are same as marked by the candidates, so no challenge will be entertained from such candidates.

It is important to note that those candidates who have still not submitted their roll no. of class 12th/ qualifying examination, have to submit the same on the websites.

The candidates who have already submitted their roll no. of class 12th/qualifying examination may view the same and in case of any discrepancy, they must correct the same and upload the scanned copy of their admit card (those who have appeared in class 12th /qualifying examination in 2013) / mark-sheet of class 12th/qualifying examination (those who have passed class 12th /qualifying examination in 2012 or 2011) failing which their final result/merit position of JEE Main 2013 will not be declared.
