VITEEE 2013 Online Exam Starts From Today, 15th April

The VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology - Engineering Entrance exam) is conducted by VIT University for providing admissions to B.Tech programmes offered by the University and its affiliated institutes.

For the very first time, the VITEEE is conducted Online i.e. Computer Based Test. Around 1.6 lakh candidates have been registered for the entrance exam. The test will be held in 130 centres in 112 cities across India besides Dubai and Kuwait.

VITEEE starts from today i.e. 15th April and continues till 24th April, 2013. According the the sources a total of 1,66, 978 aspirants will be taking their entrance exam from today following till 24th according to the roll numbers received by them. It is revealed that the number of candidates have been increased by 17,000 compared to last year.

VIT Chancellor G.Viswanathan said "The demand from students based in the Middle-Eastern countries had led VIT University to conduct entrance examination in their countries."

"VITEEE rank holders between 1 and 50 will be given a 75% fee waiver, while those in the range between 51 to 100 will be given 50% and students gaining rank between 101 and 1000 will be awarded a scholarship of Rs. 95,000", he added.

The results will be declared on 5th of May, 2013 and the results will be available at www.vit.ac.in. Also, the counselling process is to start from 13th and continues till 18th May, 2013.
