The Tandon Commitee has also found that these universities had improved a lot in areas like following the guidelined of UGC, Governance, Research output, Quality Education, Innovations in Teaching, Faculty resources and awarding degrees, Admission process, Doctoral and other degree programmes. While 30 is marked as a minimum score to reach the eligibility category these eight institutes have managed to score 31.
The key parameter considered for these universities as most of them were run by the family of the promoters was 'Governance' . No comment made by the committee regarding the governance aspect of these deemed universities except the Bharati Vidyapeeth whose administrative structure showed an exceptional change.
