15 Yr Old Girl From Kerala To Launch Web Company!

Have you every thought of launching a company when you were just 15 years old, the age when you are busy with your books, school, studies, playing and examinations. Well, you might have just had a dream of doing it or a aim to build a career for yourself. But, dreaming and aiming has a long way to go and launch a company in reality.

Well, here is a surprise. Can you just imagine a 15yr old girl launching a new Web based company? Yes, she can. Here is an live example of it. A class 10 student, Shreelakshmi Suresh, who had created a history seven years ago by developing the website of her school at the age of just Eight, has now come up with another great thought and decision to set up an IT company at UL Cyber Park.

Shreelakshmi's web design had attracted worldwide attention and she received around 30 awards besides a membership in the Association of American Webmasters. The brains behind the new venture will simply be students from schools, medical and engineering colleges.

"Most of us met during an e-learning programme and that became a network of people with similar ideas", said Shreelakshmi here, on Wednesday. Nadir Abdul Salam, a class ten Indian singer celebrity of MES Indian School in Doha is one of the directors of the company.

C.K.Ashhad of KMO ITI at Koduvally, Ameen Al Rahman, MAMO College at Mukkam, Shyni, Royal Dental College at Chalisserry and Shabna and Shamila of AWH Engineering College, here, are the other five members on the board.

Shreelakshmi said the company would become functional at the cyber park by July. The company providing web design, web development, web hosting, domain registration and a slew of other services would have a staff strength of 20 to begin with. The investment is estimated to be Rs 50 lakh.

Other students associated with the venture include Naseeb of Government Polytechnic Wayanad, M.T.Jasil Government Engineering College, Thiruvananthapuram, C.K. Nidhin, Government Medical College, Thrissur, Shimras, TKM Engineering College, Kollam, Salsajeela, Universal Engineering College at Thoudupuzha, Shaheera, Malik Dinar College, Kasaragode and Junaid Pavai, College of Engineering, Salem.
