Based on the public interest regarding the application of mathematics examination which was tough, the Karnataka High Court has hereby accepted the plea of re-examination.
And hence, the High Court has issued notice to the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Department of Education . A student named Kaushik had submitted a plea report in request of conducting the examination again.
This years Mathematics question paper was ne of the most difficult compared to the last ten years. And such questions which are really hard shall put students down into fear of failing in exam, said the complaint.
The plea further stated that questions of 1 marks were asked for 2 marks which were already out of our syllabi. A number of students who did not just know how to answer were very upset for this. Rural students, as well as the city's students have also said that the exam was too difficult, added the petition.
A professor said that, the 35B question under section D was out of syllabus. The same question had been asked in the 2010 board exam and grace marks were given to it. Similarly students are expecting to get 8 marks in grace this year.
Evaluation of PUC has already begun. The results are expected to be out on 3rd of May, 2013. Meanwhile, the education department has received the notice from High Court to conduct re examination.
Now, when the evaluation process is on and moreover, around 6 lakhs students had taken up this exam across the state. Will the court ask the education department to re conduct the exam, is yet unanswered.
Parents and students who are much worried of this issue are now looking up for an helping hand from the High court. The final decision is expected to be announced by the HC very soon.
