SSLC board exam 2013 starts from Today
The Karnataka state Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) annual examinations for the academic year 2012-13 begins from today i.e. April 01, 2013.

Around 8.49 lakh students are to take up their SSLC examination. Of the 3,003 centres across Karnataka, 250 centres have been identified as sensitive. The department of Public instruction has tightened measures to avoid any possible paper leaks and malpractice.

 

The director of Exams, Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB), D Venkateshaiah said, "We are employing 6,012 sitting squads for the exam, There will be two persons at each centre the supervise the examination process,"

The president of Karnataka pradesh youth congress and Member of Indian National Congress, Krishna Byre Gowda had tweeted that, "A warm welcome and a big hello. Our first summer showers, bringing much relief ! And good luck for the SSLC exams,"

"The questions papers will be opened inside the hall and students will authenticate the process. Two students, along with the invigilator's signature, will testify that the process was followed," said Venkateshaiah.

Meanwhile, to help students tackle examination pressure and clear their doubts, the board has set up helpline. The helpline function from April 1 to April 10, 2013 between 9 AM to 2 PM. The helpline no's are 080 - 23310075 and 080 - 23310076.

Earlier, State Education Minister Kageri said that "The Karnataka State Secondary Education Board has made elaborate arrangements to help the students to overcome the examination fever and last minute anxieties. In addition to holding series of preparatory mock examinations, steps have been taken to ensure that the students have been given compensatory coaching."

"More importantly,the SSLC students would be given 15 minutes additional time to carefully read the question papers before the actual commencement of writing the answers to the given questions.", he said.
