Bangalore University seems to be focusing on higher education. A MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) has been signed with the Germany's University of Bremen.
It was held during a brief ceremony on Jnana Bharathi campus on Wednesday. A team representing the Bremen University, led by Yasemin Karakalu, Vice rector of Intercultural and International affairs met the Vice chancellor of Bangalore University B.Thimme Gowda and other officials.
The MoU states that both universities have resolved to initiate collaborative research and development programmes in Biological Science, Physics, Education, Economics and International affairs.
Professor B.Thimme Gowda who specialists in Physical Chemistry has collaborated with researchers from the University of Bremen on many research projects.
One if the notable collaboration of Professor Thimme Gowda is with Thorsten M Gesing from the University of Bremen, Crystallography Department.
By this Bangalore University is heading towards research and higher education as well.
