Bihar Class10 Exams Running High With Malfunctions

Board exams for Bihar Class 10 students started from 12th March and is to end today i.e. the 18th March, 2013. Here is the all over data on how the exams were held and the report of malfunctions held by the students during exams.

 

On the first day of the Class 10 board exams, about 200 students were caught cheating at an examination centre in Chhapra, Bihar. All of them were disqualified. Around 100 parents and guardians were reportedly detained for helping them and were later released.

"The students were expelled on charges of adopting unfair means. Nearly 100 parents or guardians were arrested for abetment," an official of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) said, according to news agency IANS. The board held the English exam on Wednesday.

While some people were caught on camera scaling walls of the building to communicate with students inside the examination hall. Officials said that the mass cheating involved not only parents but also invigilators and policemen stationed in the schools. Some students went to the extent of bribing the cops to allow copying in the exams. They were cheating on a English paper on the first day of the matriculation examination held by the BSEB.

Mass cheating was not reported in Chhapra alone. There were similar reports from Shekhpura, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Gaya, Patna, Jehanabad and Bhagalpur in the state as well.

The class 12 students are to face their exams from 26th March onwards. The board ensures to have much better security during these coming days.
