Here, the KSEEB (Karnataka Secondary Examination Board) is now planning to tie up with the Department of e-Governance to set up an integrated mobile service, which will send the SSLC results to every students via mobile phones.
As per the sources from Examination Board "The process of collecting phone numbers and registration started last year and is still going on. The system will be integrated with the Sakaala. A senior official said that the services such as revaluation of marks, issuance of duplicate marks card or provisional marks cars, currently under Sakaala services, will also be integrated with mobile services.
The sources further explained that "For instance, if anyone applies for revaluation he/she will be able to track the progress of the process through their mobile phones. Many cannot access on websites certain information related to admission, which are available on the website, will be made available on the mobile phones".
Moreover, till date students had an opportunity to send their details via SMS to get their results. And now, the main aim is to push results automatically to students, but also to do so without any charge.
However, a team from the e-Governance department will visit the Examination Board in the coming week, to give them a demonstration of how the system will work. Gunjan Krishnan, head of SeMT (State e-Governance Mission Team) for Karnataka, who is overseeing this project says "Once they give their nod, we will put the system in place. Till now nearly 16-17 lakh phone numbers have been collected and registered in the examination Board database.
