Karnataka Boardexams All Set To Kick-start On Time

Karnataka: The annual examinations for SSLC (Class 10 Students) are to kick start from April 1, 2013 onwards. Around 8.49 lakh students are to take up their SSLC examination for the academic year 2012-13. And the examinations for Class 12 (Second PU) students are to start from 13th March, which consists of around 6.13 lakh students in science, Arts and Commerce streams altogether.

The State Primary and Secondary Education Minister Kageri Visveshwars Hegde on Monday said "The boards of PU and SSLC i.e. the Karnataka state secondary education board and pre-university boards are all set to conduct their examinations with their elaborate preparations."  See Second PU Time Table

"There will be a total of 961 examination centres throughout the State", he added.

According to the sources, the total number of students appearing for SSLC final examinations is of 8.49 lakh in numbers, which is quite more than 25000 students in the last year. SSLC Time Table

State Education Minister Kageri also said that "The Karnataka State Secondary Education Board has made elaborate arrangements to help the students to overcome the examination fever and last minute anxieties. In addition to holding series of preparatory mock examinations, steps have been taken to ensure that the students have been given compensatory coaching."

"More importantly,the SSLC students would be given 15 minutes additional time to carefully read the question papers before the actual commencement of writing the answers to the given questions.", he said.
