MTU holds semester exams on Sundays
The Mahamaya Technical University (MTU), Noida has decided to conducted carry over semester exams on Sundays to reduce the burden of students. Candidates who were all failed in the semester subjects and those subjects carried for the next semester, these carry over semester exams will be conducted on every Sundays from Feb to March 2013.

The detailed exams scheduled time table will be announced shortly. The decision was taken at a meeting of examination committee chaired by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S K Kak on Feb 19, 2013.

Total of 8,000 students have submitted forms for the carry over examination for which they could not pass in first attempt or earlier semesters.

Merging two universities:
The Uttar Pradesh state Government decided to merge Mahamaya Technical University (MTU), Noida and Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU), Lucknow to again form the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) which has already existed.

Recently, UP govt took the decision of merging the two universities into one. The Mahamaya Technical University was constituted during the Buhujan Samaj Party (BSP) regime by an ACT of UP Legislature in Feb 2010 and subsequently notified in the UP Gazette after bifurcating UPTU, Luck into Gaitam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow and Mahamaya Technical University, Noida.
