China also sees increase of 9.9% which is around 6903 applications which tops the list. The number of Indian students was 2188 in 2012 and it has now increased to 2610 in 2013. As the due date is till 30 June the number of applications are expected to increase higher.
The sources from the UCAS (University and Colleges Admissions Services) has revealed that the number of students coming from outside European Union has increased every year. When compared to 2012-2013 number of students who come to UK to study has risen by 9.6%.

The immigration minister Mark Harper said "In particular, number from India and China have seen big increase. This shows that, despite stories to the contrary, students continue to want to come to UK to study at our world class Universities. We have tackled abuse of the student route head on without affecting genuine students. By protecting the reputation of the British education system we will be able to compete in a global race".
