Indian Govt offers 8 scholarships
The Indian government offers eight scholarships to Malaysian students for undergraduate, postgraduate degree courses or research at Indian Universities for the academic year 2013-14.

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) will administer the six scholarship under the General Cultural Scholarship Scheme (GCSS) and two scholarship under the IOR-ARC scheme.

The Indian High Commission said that in a statement, scholarship covers all the courses except Medicine and Dentistry related courses. Several institutions in India offering various courses including Engineering, Architecture, Humanities, Liberal Arts, Commerce, Journalism, Hotel Management, Science and law are covered under these scholarships.

The High Commission said, "The aspirants can select the institutions based on the courses at the time of filling the application form,"

The aspirants should be eligible for the course and must have proficient in English and not have serious health problems. Priority is given to the students who never studied in India.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, living allowance, house rent, thesis and dissertation expenses and study tour expenses. No airfare is provided.

The interested aspirants can apply for the above mentioned courses by applying in official website of Indian High Commission. Aspirants can download the application form and prospectus from the website. February 14 is the last date for applying to the scholarships.
