TSS Celebrates its 13th Founder's Day
The Sagar School and the Saga of Rajasthan merged beautifully and perfectly in a spectacular splash of colours, songs and dances with the incredibly true tales of the culturally prosperous royal state, its ethnic fragrance and rich aroma magically unfolding and infusing joy and pleasure in everyone present in the campus on the occasion of the 13th founder's day on the 22nd December, 2012. Accolades came in from all quarters especially, the chief guest Ms. Pankaja Thakur, the Chief Executive Officer of the Central Board of Film Certification.

The Chief Guest, Ms Pankaja Thakur said, "the efforts of the children are indeed commendable and I appreciate the children taking part in so many co-curricular activities." Acknowledging and echoing the same sentiments the Chairperson of the school, Ms Rosemary Sagar recalled her father, Dr. V Sagar's dream of having an international school where children would  learn about each other's culture. The Director, Ms Sharmishta Julka -highlighted the areas in which the school had grown in leaps and bounds and reiterated the school's commitment to provide a platform for the children for their all round development. A fully consolidated report of the school activities to this effect was presented by the Principal, Lt. Col (Retd) Rattanbir Singh. Mrs. Jayshree Balasaria, the Vice Principal warmly thanked everyone for their presence and encouragement.

A dance drama ‘SAGA OF RAJASTHJAN' directed by the renowned theatre personality, Mr. Feisal Alkazi, was beautifully presented by 216 students of The Sagar School as the sixteenth century poet, Mira Bai,  King Akbar and Mormukut Singh came alive on the stage and the audience was transformed in a world of battles, warriors, kings and Queens. The dances were choreographed by Mr. Vishwakant Sinha. The panel designing of the stage was done under the guidance of the famous miniature painting specialist- Mr. Jaishankar Sharma. Rajasthani culture, music and dance were highlighted in the program specially throught the exhibition, showcasing the students' art and creativity through the school's HERITAGE project of studying the geographical, economic and social aspects of the neighbourhood block, Tijara. The gardening, carpentry, astronomy, photography and the jewellery clubs of the school also displayed the creativity and hard work of the students. The guests also praised the efforts of the Sagar foundation working for the upliftment of the locals especially women.

On this occasion the following students were also awarded as all rounders by the Chief Guest: VASU MITTAL, ADITYA CHATURVEDI, VEDANT MATHUR, ARCHANA YENGKHOM, ARYAMAN GIR, THOINU KARAM, KIRTI DALAL AND PARIKSHIT JHORAR. The proud parents of the last year's topper Jaskaran Singh also received an award .
