Direct 2nd year degree courses admission: DTE Goa

Only GCET from 2013, No G2CET
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Goa has announced that admission to Direct Second Year of Degree Courses (Lateral Entry) in Engineering/Pharmacy for Diploma/B.Sc. Degree holders shall be granted on the basis of marks scored at qualifying exam (Diploma/B.Sc.), from year 2013-14.

Consequently, there shall be no G2CET(Goa 2nd Year Common Entrance Test) conducted. Details regarding eligibility norms, guidelines for preparing merit list, etc., shall be duly notified in the Prospectus to be issued.

 

Recently, DTE announced the time table for the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET 2013) for admissions to first Year of Professional Degree courses in the State for the academic year 2013-14.

Admissions to MBBS/BDS/BHMS Courses shall be based on NEET(National Entrance cum Eligibility Test) to be conducted by CBSE and eligibility criteria prescribed by MCI. Syllabus for the same is published on MCI website.

Admissions to B.E. and B.Pharm courses shall be on the basis of GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test), which shall be conducted in 10 Centres, across Goa State, as per following schedule.

Admissions to B.Arch. course shall be on the basis of scores obtained at NATA(National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by Council of Architecture, and qualifying exam (Std. XIIth /HSSC.).
