Maharashtra's New Director Of Education
The State Maharashtra gets its new State Director of Education. Sarjerao Jadhav, the Chairman of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary And Higher Secondary Education has been appointed to this in-charge.

The former director was Mr.Sreedhar Salunke, the position was left vacant on Monday. The great challenge for Jadhav will be to meet the deadline of March 31 set for implementing the Right to Education (RTE )Act.

 

Later, when Sarjerao Jadhav took the in-charge, he said "The state will have to meet the deadline any how. I will take stock of the implementation of RTE in the state so far and work and work accordingly. It's time for our officers to pull up their socks and work efficiently to make sure we do not lag behind when it comes to RTE".

The Commissioner of Maharashtra State examination council Mr. Mahavir Mane, will handle the additional charge of the state primary education department while four other posts in the education department will also have acting officials in the new year.

Also, the Joint Director of Secondary Education Mr. Gangadhar Mhamane, has been given additional charge of Balbharti which was temporarily headed by Jadhav.

Moreover, The director of Maharashra State Council of Education Research Training NK Jarag, has been given the additional charge of Balchitravani while HI Shinde, Director of State Council of Examination, will have additional charge of state minorities education.
