12.8 lakh aspirants registered for JEE Main 2013

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi closed the online registration for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2013 on Dec 15, 2012.

The JEE Main 2013 entrance exam conducted for admission to NITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) like IIITs etc. and other participating Institutions across the country.

Around 12.8 lakh aspirants registered for JEE Main 2013. Out of these only 1.7 lakh aspirants opted for computer based test which makes it only 13% of students who wish to take the online exam.

The CBSE will conduct the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2013 on April 07, 2013 Pen & Paper Based Exam and from April 08 to 25, 2013 Computer Based examination. The rank will be calculated on basis of score in the entrance exam as well as weightage of marks scored in class 12 board examination. The top 1.5 lakh aspirants in the rank list will be eligible for JEE Advanced exam.

Important Dates:

• Last date for receipt of Confirmation Page at JEE (Main) Secretariat: Dec 26, 2012.
• Pen & Paper Based Examination: April 07, 2013.
• Computer Based Examination: April 08 To 25, 2013.
